Practice philosophy: To meet patients where they are in their health and wellness journey through developing trusting relationships and work with them to create an attainable plan for them to meet their healthcare goals with compassionate, evidence-based care. Healthcare is more than physical health and through relationships I seek to help patients find holistic care for the mind, body and spirit in the spirit of shared decision making.
What are you passionate about and why? Faith, Family, Friends and Sports/Outdoors! I love building relationships and having the opportunity to be a part of people’s stories whether in medicine or life in general.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? I would work in a local coffee shop or brewery!
What is something you have learned from your patients? My patients are constantly teaching me humility and how to truly listen to those around me. They are the hero of their own story, and every story has lessons to be learned.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I enjoy how everybody is unique! They bring their own challenges and experiences which results in a diverse career filled with unique challenges that need unique solutions.
What is your personal health goal? To achieve a VO2 Max >98th percentile, but really to have a joy-filled, sustainable lifestyle!
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Everyone is better than you at something, but you’re better than everyone at something. Stay humble and create a routine with goals that suit you and don’t compare them to others.
