I am passionate about: promoting health equity and providing access to health care for women and children, because this builds the foundation of a healthy society.
I decided to become a doctor: after spending a year providing health education in schools and community centers. I wanted to continue educating with more in-depth knowledge and skills to help individuals achieve their health goals.
If I wasn't a doctor, I would be: an international food critic because I could eat my way around the world!
I have learned from my patients: that it is my job to help uncover the unique motivation that brings each person into the clinic to see me.
The best thing I've done for my health: is adopting a pup that needs lots of hikes and walks. She does not let me rest on my days off!
My personal achievements are: traveling and exploring new places. Some of my recent favorites have been Thailand, Tanzania, India and Utah's Zion National Park.
Practice philosophy: I believe strongly that we can all find better health and wellness through integrating with communities, partnering with organizations in the community, by teaching and by working alongside my patients and their families. Being a physician starts with educating and caring for my patients in the exam room, but I know that health cannot be achieved in the clinic alone.
