Practice philosophy: Be patient-centric, not symptom-centric. Listening to my patients and keeping an open communication is very important. I believe in evidence based guided medicine and having my patients involved in the decision making process in order to provide the best treatment plan for better overall health.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I have always had a passion for learning and applying new concepts hence why i pursued medicine. I enjoy helping provide a better quality of life and building long term relationships with my patients.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Some rheumatologic diseases can be complex, and present heterogeneously which can be challenging however solving a diagnosis puzzle for the patient and providing appropriate treatment is rewarding.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Eat healthy, exercise regularly, stay hydrated and get enough good sleep.
