What is your practice philosophy? Skin is the body’s largest organ and vital to not only health but also self-esteem. I seek to educate and reassure patients on the best skin care and ways of achieving a genuine sense of comfort with their own skin.
What are you passionate about? And why? I am passionate about science and ensuring that every patient feels welcomed and listened to in my clinic. Science and listening are the keys to giving the best health care.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: A travel agent, because I love perusing and scheduling amidst all the possible trips to take in the world!
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? Being a provider combines the best of scientific insight with the opportunity to meet a wide range of interesting people all day long. I knew I wanted to be a doctor after spending time in labs and realizing I wanted more interpersonal contact.
Something I have learned from my patients is: There are many pathways through life and sometimes the side-roads take you there better.
My personal health goal is: To workout at least 4 times a week.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Taking long walks with friends and family. Eating less sugar and carbohydrates.
What are you most proud of? I am proud of my two children and their wonderful senses of adventure. And also their humor.
What are a few of your personal achievements? I once took a 45 day backpacking trip through the mountains of the Yukon.
