What is your practice philosophy? I care about meeting you where you are at with your health and treating your health as a whole so you can feel your best and do the things you want to be able to. I focus on making decisions together and making sure you feel comfortable with the plans we make.
What are you passionate about? And why? Providing compassionate care and teaching all – kids and adults – about their health!
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Teacher, probably in math or science – my favorite subjects growing up.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I developed a curiosity for medicine early on in life and enjoyed exploring different areas of healthcare during college, which is when I knew becoming a family physician is what I wanted to do. I always loved the idea of caring for people of all different ages and caring for generations of the same family and addressing health and wellness as a whole, which are a couple of the many reasons I chose family medicine.
My personal health goal is: To be able to maintain the energy and endurance to do the things I enjoy – like hiking, swimming, and biking. I also would love to one day complete the Birkebeiner!
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? It’s not so important whether you walk, jog, or run, but get out there and have fun with whatever you choose – just move your body!
What are you most proud of? I am most proud of raising two amazing daughters during my medical school training.
