Nathanael Shull, MS, PA-C

I am a Team Care Provider (TCP) and help cover appointments, online messages and calls as an extension of your care team. I work with Dr. David Casement, Dr. Elizabeth Hofbauer, Dr. Natalie Hemmerich, and Dr. Robert Kingsbury, and am able to help when your primary care provider does not have availability. While patients are unable to establish regular care with me, I diagnose, treat and manage various health conditions, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and provide patient education and counseling, keeping your provider informed along the way.

What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about using the gifts I have been provided to help others achieve better health and find greater meaning in their lives.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? In a boy band.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider because medicine has blessed my family in so many ways, and I want to be able to help others in similar fashion. I knew I wanted to be a PA midway through college.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Listening well is always worth it.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? You can only know so much. Sometimes, the best thing to tell patients is that you don't know something, but will take the time to learn it.

What is your personal health goal? To exercise routinely and to sleep well.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Started weight-lifting for lower back pain. The best health advice I have received is to start doing now the things you want to be able to do when you're older.

What are you most proud of? The close relationships I have with my family and friends.

What are a few of your personal achievements? Graduating from PA school, buying my first car.
