What is your practice philosophy? My role as a primary provider is developing a quality relationship with each patient so I can help them make informed decisions about their health and care goals.
What are you passionate about? And why? Disease prevention, and attempting to limit the burden that disease can have on patients and their families to help them have a quality, happy life.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I ended up spending a significant amount of time in hospitals and clinics for a device project while in engineering school, and knew after spending time with patients that I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. Medicine for me is the perfect blend of science, critical thinking and experiencing the human condition with others. It will always feel like a privilege to have this job and to be involved in such a vulnerable part of people’s lives.
Something I have learned from my patients is: Grace and kindness, especially at the most challenging times.
My personal health goal is: To stay physically strong for as long as I can, even when it feels hard!
