I am a licensed psychologist specializing in child and teen psychology. I have professional interests in infant and early childhood mental health, parent/child relationships, attachment disorders, traumatic stress, mindfulness, regulation disorders, resilience, integrative mental health, social justice and values-based intervention. I am trained in child parent psychotherapy and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: functional medicine doctor that helps people uncover the root causes of their illness/disease in order to improve their overall health and wellness.
Practice philosophy: I collaborate with my patients and their caregivers to support them in being able to actively engage in their lives based on their unique values and needs. I consider patient problems and suffering within the larger context of social, historical, economic and cultural considerations. I use a holistic approach to treatment that aims to consider all the various ways that healing happens.
My personal health goal is: to do the next kind thing for myself as many times as possible each day. Sometimes this means taking several deep breaths. Sometimes it means meal planning for the week. Sometimes it mean finishing that nagging house chore I've been avoiding.
The best thing I've done for my health is: to bring myself to water, green space, or the sun for at least ten minutes every day. Nature always gives back, and I've grown to depend on this practice.
