Practice philosophy: As a primary care physician, I strive to partner with patients to work towards a healthy lifestyle as I believe “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” I enjoy the long lasting physician-patient relationships in primary care and when acute or chronic issues do arise, I hope to help patients and their loved ones through decisions that help maximize quality of life.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? I would love the challenge to work in healthcare policy.
What is something you have learned from your patients? My patients have taught me that each person and situation is unique. The only way to know this is by listening and spending the necessary time to touch on all concerns.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Medicine can be complex and there are always new advancements to learn about. I enjoy the continuous educational aspect that this career allows for.
What is your personal health goal? My husband and I love our sweets and we are always working to enjoy it in moderation.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Someone once told me to find joy in each day, wear a smile and practice gratitude. This has been very helpful in nurturing my emotional health.
What are you most proud of? My husband and I have two sons and they bring so much happiness into our lives.
