What is your practice philosophy? I believe that a supportive and trusting relationship is at the foundation of therapeutic growth and that everyone deserves to be heard. I believe that healing and change begin with non-judgmental awareness and exploration.
What are you passionate about? And why? I’m passionate about kids and teenagers because I think giving them a supportive community and space where they can learn and grow is essential.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: High school teacher because I’ve always loved working in adolescent development.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I knew I wanted to be a psychologist after college when I began interning at a psychology practice where I saw that providers could make an incredible difference in people’s lives.
Something I have learned from my patients is: I’ve learned that progress takes hard work. And that it is worth it.
My personal health goal is: To practice daily meditation.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? I started going to a climbing gym and discovered that exercise and staying in shape could be an enjoyable activity that is mentally and physically challenging.
What are you most proud of? I’m proud of making it through grad school and earning my doctorate in Counseling Psychology.
