What is your practice philosophy? I believe that patient care is about more than just surgical ability. While this is clearly important, I think excellent care is grounded in communication. I want my patients to trust that I will help them understand their diagnosis, so that they can make the best health care decision for themselves. Additionally, I want my patients to know that they can rely on my commitment to excellent care throughout the entire process – from clinic visits, to the operating room, to communicating with their family or therapists, and throughout their recovery.
What are you passionate about? And why? I am committed to providing individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care for patients with both common and complex pathologies of the shoulder and elbow.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: Every patient is unique. While I like being able to examine a patient and interpret their imaging to arrive at a diagnosis, I also enjoy that not every patient is the same, nor are they defined by their diagnosis. Behind every x-ray or MRI, is a patient with their own set of symptoms, functional demands and personal characteristics that make their clinical picture unique from a treatment standpoint.
