One challenge of this career that I enjoy is: the amazing breadth and diversity of family medicine! From preventive health visits, to treating patients with a sore throat or a chronic disease like diabetes, or even attending childbirth... I am most fulfilled when I’m present for all the important steps in your health and life journey.
I became a physician because: I learned a lot from my parents growing up around the kitchen table with a nurse and a pharmacist. They instilled in me a love for learning and for helping others; I later discovered this fit perfectly with a career as a family medicine doctor.
My personal health goal is: to be open to new ways to stay active. It’s human nature to fall into a routine, but making a change can be refreshing and healthy in the long run. Oh, and I’d like to drink more water throughout the course of my day.
