I am a board-certified nurse practitioner with professional interests in preventive medicine, renal and women's health. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.

Practice Philosophy: To provide comprehensive and preventative care to the individual and family.

I am passionate about: reading. A book can take you to magical lands all while teaching you a lesson. Reading is exercise for the mind.

A challenge of this career that I enjoy is: talking to patients during difficult times. In other words, having to deliver bad news to a patient is the most challenging job as a provider. However, I am also the one that gets to make a difference in how the news is delivered.  I will forever be a part of that patient’s story.

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: teacher. I love to help others learn.

I became a nurse practitioner because: after many years as an ER nurse, I realized that I needed to be able to establish a growing rapport with my patients. I wanted more. I knew that as a provider I could watch my patient’s over time and establish a long-term relationship with them.

My patients have taught me: that I can make a difference. A simple touch, a holding of their hand can make a huge difference in their life. Patients have also taught me to slow down, learn their story and grow from their life experiences.

I am most proud of: being a mom. I have three young sons, Sam, Finnegan and Joe. They keep me on my toes. But they bring out the best in me. I love them unconditionally.

The best health advice: I truly believe that health begins with the mind. I try to maintain a positive attitude, and meditate to relieve stress.
