I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in pediatrics. I have professional interests in adolescent health, mental health and health promotion. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
I became a nurse practitioner because: I wanted to help children as they grow through different ages and stages. I saw a pediatric provider when I was little who had a great impact on me. I have six younger siblings and from an early age I took care of their scrapes and cuts; that’s when I knew I wanted to become a provider.
I’ve learned from my patients: that each person and family is unique and I need to get to know them individually to help them improve their health.
A fun fact about me is: I am the oldest of seven children with five younger sisters and one younger brother.
The best health advice I’ve received is: to hold myself accountable for the choices I make with my diet. To help me keep from feeling sluggish or tired, I avoid eating ice cream and sweets every day.
My personal achievements include: running the Grandma’s Marathon in 2010. Since then I have completed five half marathons.
My favorite movie is: Princess Bride because it has a little bit of everything - action, romance and comedy.
My favorite destination is: Munich, Germany because there is so much culture and history in this city. My husband and I went there on our honeymoon.
