Best pat of my work: I love getting to know children and their families, and watching as they grow and develop. Kids really do say the funniest things, and not a day goes by that I don't smile and enjoy the things they say or do!
Why I became a physician: I became a pediatrician because of my love of children, but as my career has progressed, I see that pediatrics is more about the care of children within the family as a whole.
What I tell my friends and family: Find activities that you enjoy and can participate in as a family. Listen to your body; if something hurts, take a break or try a different activity. Be safe and wear your helmet!
How I spend my free time: I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, golfing and cooking. I also enjoy doing yoga and gardening in our short Minnesota season.
