Practice philosophy: I aim to provide thorough, personalized care, tailored to my specific patients’ needs. I enjoy listening to each patient’s story and sharing evidence-based information regarding their condition to establish a treatment plan that allows the patient to make their own decisions about their health care.
What are you passionate about and why? My goal as a foot and ankle surgeon is to improve the health and lives of my patients through clinical or surgical means. I have a particular interest in finding the best methods to treat complex foot and ankle fractures, deformities, arthritic conditions, and sports medicine conditions/injuries.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Prior to medical school I worked in landscaping. It allowed me to both be outside and work with my hands.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I graduated from medical school in 2021 and surgical residency in 2024. My interest in Podiatry began after interning with the local podiatrist in St. James, MN during my undergraduate years.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Every patient has a life outside of the clinic. Taking time to truly know each patient allows me to tailor their treatment for the best outcome. This also allows me to make friendships along the way.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? There isn't a “one size fits all” approach to diagnosing and treating complex foot and ankle conditions, it should be specific to the patient. This allows for continued self-growth and improvement.
What is your personal health goal? Being able to maintain my active lifestyle so I can continue to keep up with my kids.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best thing my wife and I have done to maintain health is to have fun - finding new activities, making our own food, or just chasing our kids. You must enjoy yourself to make it a lifelong process.
What are you most proud of? My wife and three boys are my pride and joy.
