I am a LSVT® LOUD Certified Clinician. LSVT® LOUD treatment is a scientifically proven and effective speech treatment for individuals with Parkinson disease (PD) and other neurological conditions.
I am also a LEVEL 1 PROMPT clinician. PROMPT is an acronym for Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets. The technique is a tactile-kinesthetic approach that uses touch cues to a patient’s articulators (jaw, tongue, lips) to manually guide them through a targeted word, phrase or sentence. The technique develops motor control and the development of proper oral muscular movements, while eliminating unnecessary muscle movements, such as jaw sliding and inadequate lip rounding.
I have been blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart for more than 20 years. We have two wonderful son's named, Landon and Grady. Both boys are "A" students and are very active in school sports. As a family, we spend many weekends attending professional sporting events and watching the boys play in their own basketball tournaments. We also enjoy traveling together, our two gentle Ragdoll cats, going out to nice restaurants, and reading.
I have a twin sister who is also a speech therapist and we love making therapy documents for specific clients that we see in the areas of speech, language and literacy. More information about us can be found at teacherspayteachers.com
