Practice philosophy: As a provider I like to take the time to get to know my patients and make sure they feel heard and cared for. I aspire to develop relationships with my patients in addition to practicing evidence-based medicine. I believe this leads to the best patient care.
What are you passionate about and why? I am very passionate about working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I have lots of experience working with these individuals and hope to continue this in my practice as a physician assistant.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Musician or teacher
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I have always had a strong interest in medicine and have a passion for serving others. This led me to becoming a physician assistant. I knew I wanted to go into medicine in high school.
What is something you have learned from your patients? I have learned how meaningful it is to simply take the time to talk with them and answer questions. It is so important to ensure that patients feel heard and cared for.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I have always been someone who enjoys learning. Medicine is a field with constant learning, which can be challenging. However, this is something that I will enjoy.
