Practice philosophy: Whole-person care and patient-centered care
What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about women's health and health equity from a whole person care lens. I believe that health includes being connected to our community and environment. Harmony and balance resound as we care about these reciprocal relationships.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A poet
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider in 1995 and found this vocation early in life. I am happy doing this work, as it is very fulfilling, and I continue to learn about health and human nature.
What is something you have learned from your patients? People have an amazing ability to heal and grow. The human spirit is powerful and how friends and family can show up for one another can be remarkable.
What are a few of your personal achievements?

- Published case study: Integrating Acupuncture for Preeclampsia 2019
- Teaching acupuncture interns since 2007 and teaching an online maternal acupuncture class since 2018
