If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be?A teacher so diabetes education is a great fit for me.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you?I've always known I wanted to be in a helping profession. But I wasn't sure if that was teaching or healthcare at first. Although I would love summers off I'm glad I chose healthcare.
What is something you have learned from your patients?Since my days of bedside nursing, I've asked patients north of say 75 who are pretty healthy what's their secret. And almost always I hear keep moving, get some activity every day.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received?I usually start my day with 10 mins of yoga, it really helps with pain, stiffness and mood.
