Practice philosophy: I aim to provide high quality care for every patient while also being approachable and a source of evidence based medical knowledge for families. I seek to build trusting relationships with every patient and enjoy working with families.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about preventative care for infants, children, and adolescents - keeping them healthy to continue with normal lives - whether at home, daycare, school, sports, activities, etc.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Veterinarian.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I enjoy the science of medicine and the art of applying it to patient care. Pediatrics requires a lot of creativity and flexibility, which is a unique challenge of the career that I enjoy.
What is something you have learned from your patients? As I am both a parent and a pediatrician, I have learned some great parenting tips for families! There is always more than one way to do something, and I enjoy learning from parents during visits.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Maintaining a regular exercise routine even if it's only a little bit at a time. Prioritizing time with family.
