What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about injury prevention in regards to traumatic injury. I love learning new techniques to help our patients with the latest technology and options.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Engineer or baker
Why did you become a provider? I became a doctor because I love being able to help people identify and fix a problem to get them feeling better as soon as possible.
What is something you have learned from your patients? It is important to ask each patient what their goals are so that we can plan for them to get back to work and activity safely and as quickly as possible.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Every day is different, and you never know what might walk through the door each day. You have to be prepared for anything and to learn something each day as each patient is unique.
What is your personal health goal? Maintain good health over time.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Being a patient myself taught me a lot about how to communicate better with patients and how responsive I want to be to my patients as that is what I would want for myself and my family too.
What are you most proud of? Becoming a surgeon and having a strong and happy family.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Working with multi-level leaders to increase quality of care for our patients. Creating patient and staff education to help patients prepare for surgery and maintain excellent hospital care.
