Practice philosophy: I strive to treat patients as a whole and take everything into consideration when discussing treatment options, whether that be with surgery or without surgery. Every injury affects individual patient's lives differently and I believe needs to be carefully considered with the patient.
What are you passionate about and why? One of the aspects of this job that I love is spending time with patients and educating them on their conditions so they can be involved in the decision-making process
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Veterinarian or a teacher.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? My grandfather and my uncle practice medicine. I saw the passion they had for caring for others and this sparked my interest to pursue a career in medicine.
What is something you have learned from your patients? I learn from patients and their family members every day. Some days I learn about orthopedic injuries and patient resilience and some days I learn about life and relationships.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I enjoy taking care of patients at a traumatic time in their life that comes unexpectedly. One of the most satisfying things in this career is watching patients get back to their daily lives.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Some of my academic achievements include research publications and national presentations.
