Practice philosophy: My philosophy is to meet my patient where they are at. I believe that individualized care is essential to the patient’s experience and their health journey. To do this, I want to partner with the patient, as a team, to achieve goals that we set together.
What are you passionate about and why? I am most passionate about how lifestyle choices affect overall health. Food, nutrition and movement are powerful tools to promote wellness.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Actuary. I always loved math!
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider to pair my passion for science with the love I have for teaching others. It is rewarding to help people understand the anatomy and physiology behind their concerns.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Communication is the key to promoting a good patient-provider relationship.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Every patient is unique and every day is completely different. I enjoy this because it challenges me to stay up to date on current medical practices.
What is your personal health goal? Run the Tough Mudder every year.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best thing I have done for my health is going on outdoor walks every morning. It has helped both my physical and mental health.
What are you most proud of? I was a competitive gymnast. This sport taught me a lot about hard work, perseverance and introduced me to the medical field!
