Practice philosophy: I have a particular interest in internal medicine because of the opportunity to establish a relationship with the patients giving me a privilege to assist them achieving their physical and emotional health goals considering their specific state of health and life circumstances.
What are you passionate about and why? A wonderful pediatric team at NUMC provided great care for our son shortly after his birth, including giving us support, reassurance and education. That impacted our lives so much that I decided to switch careers completely and pursue a degree in healthcare as a nurse, then as a nurse practitioner.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? As the young parents with business and engineering degrees, we were inexperienced, and felt scared and confused dealing with his complex diagnosis. We were very nervous about the future of our boy.
What is something you have learned from your patients? IM provides opportunities to establish therapeutic and long-term healing with patients, a mutual decision-making process, and I appreciate preventative aspects and treatment of chronic conditions.
What is your personal health goal? Live fully and enjoy every moment of it based on the cornerstone priority principles of God, Family
