Practice philosophy: I believe in empowering my patients. Focusing on imparting knowledge to help them take control of their progress; to know why each exercise is important and be able to help themselves in the future. I integrate information from research, best practice guidelines, experience, and my patient's goals.
What are you passionate about and why? Information. I love reading research related to physical therapy to help explain and stay on top of best treatments.
But I also am passionate about this in all aspects - life long learning keeps is great! I love to read, watch documentaries, take community classes, or have fascinating discussions.
What is something you have learned from your patients? I learn to look at things new and interesting ways. I am constantly challenged with questions and new information, which is great to help continually shape my evolving understanding of our bodies.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? That our bodies and circumstances are all unique. Even similar injuries all need to be treated differently to meet to different needs of each patient.
