What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about the voice and singing! It’s amazing how our voices have such a profound impact on daily life, communication, and the ability to express ourselves!
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Meteorologist
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a speech language pathologist because I love how this field combines the science of medicine with building relationships with patients to help them meet their goals.
What is something you have learned from your patients? The power of staying motivated, even through challenges!
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I enjoy the challenge of identifying the underlying cause of symptoms. Sometimes I feel like a detective solving a mystery, and it's rewarding for me, and my patients, to find an answer.
What is your personal health goal? To be joyful every day!
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Drink more water!
What are you most proud of? Research I've done in the area of voice disorder prevention for professional voice users.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Teaching at the college level and successfully baking a macaron.
