Practice philosophy: I believe in meeting patients where they are in their health journey. This involves the provider listening to the patient's concerns and goals, developing a relationship, and working as a provider-patient team.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? Several experiences solidified my desire to pursue nursing: having asthma at age 3, being a nursing home candy striper, an adult day care center work-study student, and a hospital nursing assistant.
What is your personal health goal? To exercise 150 minutes per week, which will help me be a role model for my patients.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? I adopted a whole-food, plant-based diet in 2019 for prevention of cardiovascular disease, as cardiovascular disease is prevalent in my family.
What are you most proud of? Being a mother to my 2 beautiful daughters.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Hiking to the summit of Half Dome at Yosemite National Park with my boyfriend (now husband) in 2008; Completing an intensive, 34-week Disciple class to grow spiritually in my faith in 2014
