What is your practice philosophy? My practice philosophy is centered on respecting the uniqueness of each individual patient and helping them to feel understood, valued, and dignified throughout their healthcare journey.

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Zoo keeper - I am fascinated by wildlife and think it would be an incredible job caring for animals and teaching the public about critters from other parts of the world

Something I have learned from my patients is: I have learned that age is truly just a number! Working geriatrics has shown me that it’s possible to live life to the fullest no matter how old you are. It’s energizing and refreshing to know that despite your age, you can still make new friends, develop new skills, change your habits, challenge your opinions, and grow your strengths.

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): One of the challenges that I enjoy in this career is helping people realize that despite their health issues or comorbidities, they can still lead very wholesome lives.

My personal health goal is: To spend more time outside walking, running, biking on the trails

What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? The best thing I’ve done for my health is to start a brief daily meditation and setting an intention for the day. No matter how busy, or stressful, or chaotic a day can seem, having an intention or mantra to ground me has helped relieve stress and keep me focused.
