What is your practice philosophy? Meet people where they are at and help them to get where they want to be. People are all different inside and out and there is no one size fits all.
What are you passionate about? And why? Kindness and compassion. Everyone deserves these things.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: A wellness coach of some sort. I feel I am meant to work in health and wellness
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I always wanted to be in healthcare. The first nutrition class I took in college made my decision. I wanted to learn how to contribute to health and healing with food.
Something I have learned from my patients is: Treat others the way they want to be treated, not the way we think they want to be treated. We are all different; listening and attention are key to understanding.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Healthy habits start young. Teaching parents to be role models for their children can be challenging, but there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the difference it can make.
My personal health goal is: To qualify for the Boston Marathon. To remain active throughout life.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Realizing that food is the fuel our bodies needs to live a healthy lifestyle. There is no magic pill. We need to give our bodies what they need to thrive.
What are you most proud of? All the work I have done and all I have learned to get my CSOWM certification.
What are a few of your personal achievements? I have ran 8 full marathons
