What is your practice philosophy? I strive to deliver effective and evidence based care that is equally compassionate and tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Each patient should leave feeling heard, understood, educated, and equipped to managed his or her condition. 

What are you passionate about? And why? Faith and family. They fill me up and keep me motivated to be the best version of myself.

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: A tree farmer! My mom would have loved for me to work for the family business. 

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I first became interested in dermatology as I struggled with my own skin during adolescence. My experiences nurtured a passion for the field and a personal understanding of how a skin condition can affect both physical and emotional health.

Something I have learned from my patients is: Examples: We are a team! The most effective treatment plans involve collaboration of patient and provider.

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Every day is unique and different! I love the variety of dermatology and how it affects people of all ages and walks of life.

My personal health goal is: To keep skiing and swimming until I’m old and gray.

What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? A lesson in worrying: “95% of the things we worry about never actually happen” - My 95 year old grandpa.

What are you most proud of? My family. I am blessed with the most amazing husband and two daughters!

What are a few of your personal achievements? Diplomate – Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants. I spent 4 years researching Alzheimer’s disease before attending graduate school. My family.
