What is your practice philosophy? I approach each individual as a whole person and consider work/school, social and physical factors, as well as culture and spiritual influences on their well-being.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about empowering people to find their own path to recovering from injury and/or surgery and facilitating their independence to self-management of the health condition they are experiencing.
If you weren't a provider, what would you be? A yoga or climbing instructor.
Why did you become a provider? My own family members and myself have learned and gained so much from physical therapy, and I have seen people regain independence and function even beyond what they they thought the would be able to do.
What is something you have learned from your patients? The human spirit can truly triumph if we can find the thing that allows each person to break through and believe in their own ability.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? Finding ways to help people realize their own potential can be challenging. It is rewarding when you observe people realizing the moment that they can improve their health and function.
What is your personal health goal? To improve my rock climbing skills and to continue to exercise for the rest of my life.
What is the best thing you've done for your health? I complied advice from a variety of health professionals in order to use nutrition, spirituality, and physical activity as a template for living a more well-rounded, fulfilling lifestyle.
What are you most proud of? Having completed my DPT and COMT.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Owning a small business and caring for aging family members.
