What is your practice philosophy? My goal is to support clients across the lifespan while respecting individual preferences and needs, to help each individual build hope and develop effective strategies to reach their full potential.
What are you passionate about? And why? Helping clients break down barriers, to empower them to succeed and achieve their goals.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Teacher, because I love supporting people in growth and learning.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? Growing up, I saw the impact my mother made as a teacher. This inspired me to follow in her footsteps and help others through therapy.
Something I have learned from my patients is: We are our own best mentors.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Creating a safe space for allowing clients to feel seen and understood, addressing difficult topics, and building insight needed for healing.
My personal health goal is: To explore new walking and biking trails in the area.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Getting out for a walk at least three times week. It’s a great stress reliever, and getting out into nature helps me to be more mindful of the present moment.
What are you most proud of? Keeping strong ties to family and friends across distances.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Moving across the country to complete a competitive internship in 2011. Participated in the Stomp Out Suicide 5k run/walk 2017-2019
