What are you passionate about and why? I'm passionate about living a fulfilling life and finding joy in the work. I want to show my daughters that we can do hard things and that it is important to help others and leave places better than you found them.

Why did you become a provider? After being a bedside nurse, I knew that I wanted more autonomy. My nursing background allows me to understand the patient's response to illness as well as the physiologic process of disease.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Through my background in nursing I have learned that people lead complicated lives. In order to be an effective provider you have to meet them where they are at.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? I enjoy the problem solving aspect of patient care. I find great fulfillment in being able to formulate a plan of care that works for each individual patient and their unique circumstances.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best thing I have done for my health is to focus on eating whole foods. 

What are you most proud of? My two daughters and obtaining my Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
