What is your practice philosophy? My role as a primary care doctor is to know my patients on a personal level and to help them live a long and happy life. I am there to help through healthy times and through more challenging times of acute or chronic illness.

What are you passionate about? And why? Equality for all in health care and more generally in society.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I grew up with my mother and grandfather as physician role models. I always loved science, particularly biology and chemistry. I also love the problem solving aspect of medicine and, of course, making people feel better!
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Talking to patients about healthy eating, exercise and weight loss while maintaining body positivity and good mental health. I have personal experience struggling in this area, and I know what a big difference these lifestyle changes can make. I feel like I connect with patients more personally talking about the challenges of body image, weight, healthy foods and exercise and how to fit healthy choices into a busy life.
My personal health goal is: To live in a way that makes me feel healthy and strong and to set a positive example of a healthy life style for my son.
