Practice philosophy: You need to understand your condition and our goals as therapists before we can expect you to truly be on board with treatment plans and make long-term changes to reduce pain.
I am passionate about helping people improve their pain and increase function whether it be higher-level athletics or simply managing your daily activities with less hindrance.
If I wasn't a physical therapist I would be a fishing guide (need to get better at fishing first) or do sports analytics.
I became interested in PT after I had a devastating knee injury in high school while playing hockey. I knew I wanted to do something medically all along and the PT experience I had led me into the field as my profession.
Something I've learned from my patients is that everyone has different goals and aspirations with their recovery. Every patient is unique and needs to be treated as such.
I enjoy the challenge of physical therapy because everything always requires attentiveness and problem solving.
The best health advice I've received is nothing will get easier tomorrow so do it today. Any time you push yourself to do something new or challenging you are making gains and progress towards your ultimate goal.
