I am a board-certified family medicine physician with professional interests in pediatrics, preventive care and women's health. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
Hometown: Anoka, Minnesota
I knew I wanted to be a doctor: in college. I wanted to blend my people skills with my interest in science.
If I wasn't a doctor, I would be an: American history professor. I enjoy the topic as well as the classroom learning experience.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: to help my patients manage depression and anxiety disorders. If I can treat this effectively to improve their quality of life, it's a celebration.
Something I have learned from my patients is: that it is important to listen to body language and non-verbal cues as well as words. Sometimes people just need an opportunity to start talking and don't know how to ask for it.
My personal health goal is: to balance my work with my family and my own exercise and relaxation needs.
I am proud of: my three beautiful girls who are strong and passionate, five marathon finishes and working toward completing a physician leadership program.
