What is your practice philosophy? My goal is always to meet someone where they’re at. We’re all different and we come to a situation with our past experiences and our own context. 

What are you passionate about? And why? I’m very passionate about caring for individuals with serious and complex illness. It is a time of life when one is most vulnerable and having support and trust from a clinician at this time is priceless. 

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: A baker. I like to get lost in a recipe and I’m always excited to see how it turns out. 

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider because I have a passion for helping others and I want patients and their families to feel they have a partner and an advocate on their health journey. 

Something I have learned from my patients is: I have learned that life is short and unpredictable; enjoy every day that you have. 

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Knowing that every day is going to be different because it helps me to keep growing and learning. 

My personal health goal is: To be physically active at least 4 times per week. 

What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Setting time aside to dedicate to myself. It is so easy to allow yourself to become the lowest priority when there are a number of items on your agenda every week. 

What are you most proud of?  My three kids. Being a mom is both the greatest challenge and the most rewarding role of my life. 

What are a few of your personal achievements? Running a half marathon and becoming a preschool swim instructor.
