Dr. Johnson received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University. She completed her internship and a residency in Ophthalmology at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago. After a fellowship in Medical Retina at Northwestern University, she was in private practice and served as a Retinal Consultant to the Ophthalmology Department at the Cook County Hospital. Dr. Johnson joined VitreoRetinal Surgery in 1992. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Johnson has a special interest in diabetic eye problems, macular degeneration, and retinal and vitreous surgery.
