Interpreters and deaf and hard of hearing services

Interpreter services

You have a right to a medical interpreter at no cost to you. Please let the nurse know if you would like to have an interpreter available during your visit.

It's against Allina Health policy to use family or friends for medical interpretation to be in compliant with The Joint Commission, patient safety and liability issues. If a patient (or patient's companion, on behalf of the patient) declines/refuses language assistance services, Allina Health staff will still arrange for language assistance services in order to ensure effective communication, patient safety and privacy. 

Allina Health staff only uses a qualified professional interpreter previously authorized by Allina Health Interpreter Services. Staff will not authorize payment for interpreters who have not been pre-approved for service activities by Allina Health Interpreter Services.

Deaf and hard of hearing services

A telecommunications device is available to help deaf and hard of hearing patients or patients who want to communicate with a deaf and hard of hearing relative or friend.

In addition, we can arrange for a sign language interpreter to help a patient who is deaf and hard of hearing, communicate.

Está  en contra de  las reglas de Allina Health  el  usar familiares o amigos de los pacientes para la interpretación médica,  para conformar con las reglas establecidas por la Joint Commission, por cuestiones de responsabilidad civil y de seguridad de los pacientes.   Cuando un paciente (o acompañante del paciente, en nombre del paciente) declina o renuncia a los servicios de asistencia lingüística, el personal de Allina Health, a pesar de la negación se encargará de los servicios de asistencia lingüística a fin de garantizar una comunicación eficaz, la seguridad y privacidad del paciente.

This is a retail clinic location. We offer basic services for minor injuries and illnesses for patients 18 months and older. We do not see visits for workers' or injury compensation.

Everyday On Wheels

Everyday On Wheels mobile clinic is not wheel chair accessible due to the size of the vehicle. Patients should be able to safely climb a short set of stairs to enter the mobile clinic.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time and have your mobile phone available for the provider to contact you when they are ready to see you.

We've changed how we provide some services with your care and safety in mind. Expanded virtual care services are available to schedule online. You can also call your clinic for help finding the best option.
