I am a board-certified pulmonologist and sleep medicine physician with professional interests in pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, asthma, COPD, pulmonary hypertension and sleep medicine. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.
Practice philosophy: Understand my patient’s disease process and burden, and focus on alleviating symptoms and improving quality of life. I believe in shared decision making.

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: farmer. I believe there is a farmer in me, I come from a farming family and grew up spending a lot of time outdoors.
I became a provider because: my sister is also a physician.
One challenge of this career that I enjoy is: motivating my patients to embrace an active lifestyle knowing their limitations from medical problems. I direct the Pulmonary Rehab Exercise Program at United Hospital, and work closely with respiratory therapists and exercise physiologists. It has been incredible rewarding.
My personal health goal: to make time for exercise on most day and have fun while doing it.
The best thing I have done for my health: get a dog.
