I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner with professional interests in preventive health, chronic disease management, women's health and prenatal care. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for a variety of health services and conditions.

Practice Philosophy: I believe in providing holistic care to patients using both the art and science of medicine to promote healthful lifestyles. I believe in engaging patients in healthcare decisions and providing evidence based education to attain optimal health, well-being, and quality of life.

I am passionate about: rural health and overcoming health disparities among rural residents. I am passionate about providing exceptional care to patients of all ages and guiding them towards a more healthy life.

I wasn't a health care provider, I would be a: florist- I love to garden!

I became a provider because: health care has interested me since taking a health care career class in high school. After 15 years of rural RN practice, I obtained my DNP in order to deliver primary care in my community.

My patients have taught me: to listen. Many factors influence health care and if you do not address them all you will not have optimal outcomes.

One challenge of this career that I enjoy is: keeping up on the changing dynamics of healthcare policy is challenging, particularly in regards to prior authorization for medications and treatments I prescribe for my patients.

My personal health care goal is to: exercise at least 5 days a week. Its tough with a busy life but definitely a goal!
