Mental health and addiction care
Life can be challenging and stressful. Sometimes we may experience a mental health or addiction condition that can seem overwhelming and interfere with our ability to function or cope. If you are feeling like this, it is important to know you do not have to struggle alone.
Mental health specialty services for substance use disorders
About one third of people with a mental health condition also have a substance use disorder. The Mental Health Specialty Services for Substance Use Disorders program addresses both issues.
Programs and services
Half of all Americans will experience a mental health condition during their lifetime and about 20 million Americans experience an addiction every year. In addition, about a third of those with a substance use disorder also have a mental health condition. The good news is that help is available and recovery is possible.
