Orthopedic urgent care

Orthopedic urgent care provides convenient, same-day care for bone, joint and muscle injuries that aren’t life-threatening but shouldn’t wait. Allina Health Orthopedic Urgent Care locations have orthopedic specialists on-site daily, so you can be evaluated quickly by experts who focus exclusively on musculoskeletal injuries.

Care is available for people of all ages, and no appointment is needed.

Orthopedic urgent care is designed for musculoskeletal injuries that require timely treatment but do not need emergency care. Common conditions we treat include:

• Bruises
• Joint swelling
• Muscle pain
• Fractures without an open wound
• Sports injuries
• Sprains and strains

If you need an X-ray, brace, cast or splint, we can take care of that during your visit. And if follow‑up care is needed, our orthopedic team will coordinate next steps as quickly as possible.

Orthopedic urgent care is a convenient option when:

• You have a new or recent bone, joint or muscle injury
• Your Allina Health Orthopedics and/or primary care clinic is closed or unavailable
• You want to avoid the emergency room for a non-life threatening injury

With walk-in access and onsite orthopedic expertise, you can get answers – and relief – faster.

Virtual orthopedic urgent care lets you connect with an orthopedic specialist by secure video, without leaving home. You’ll receive same-day care with no appointment needed, along with guidance on next steps.

Available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., virtual orthopedic urgent care can evaluate the same symptoms and injuries as in-person orthopedic urgent care.

Please note that virtual orthopedic urgent care does not treat:

• Emergency conditions
• Neck or back pain
• Concussions or head injuries
• Open wounds
• Preoperative or postoperative care
• Ongoing or preventive care

All major health plans are accepted at orthopedic urgent care locations. Coverage and out‑of‑pocket costs vary by plan, and copayments are collected at the time of the visit. Virtual orthopedic urgent care offers transparent, upfront pricing, with costs capped at $150 or less depending on insurance.
