What to expect from Allina Health home health
Within one to two days after you leave the hospital or health care center, a care team member will call you to set up a home health visit. During their first visit, the team will discuss your care plan and learn if other support is needed to aid in your recovery. Allina Health’s home health team will:
- Help you become more independent and recover safely at home.
- Educate you and your family on your health, medications and medical equipment.
- Provide a full continuum of services through our integration with other home care services such as home infusion therapies, palliative and hospice care, mother and newborn home health and more depending on your needs.

Our program has been around for over 20 years, and we’ve cared for patients with all types of conditions and treatment plans. When you receive care through Allina Health home health, we first assess your needs, along with recommendations from your care team, and create a treatment plan just for you. That treatment plan may include:

Insurance for home health care
Home health care is covered by most insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid. Private pay options are also available. Your care team can help if you have additional questions.
