- Anxiety and depression in teens
I am board-certified in pediatrics and have professional interests in preventive medicine, baby and well child visits, anxiety and depression in teens/adolescents.
Hometown: Bellevue, NE
Best part of my work: Getting to know the families and helping children and adolescents feel better both mentally and physically.
Why I became a physician: Witnessing my father's care of others as a surgeon initially motivated me. After I broke my back in high school, I was further inspired to care for others.
What I tell friends and family: Buckle up and wear a helmet when needed. Exercise, drink lots of water, eat healthy, get good rest and take time for yourself. Be involved in extracurricular activities.
How I spend my free time: Outdoor activities, exercise, work in the yard and around the home, reading, traveling, volunteering at my children's school, church activities, skiing and spending time with friends and family.
What patients say about me: They appreciate the time I spend with both patient and family and my thoroughness of care. They like that I am positive and personable.
