Kimberly Simon, MD
- Preventive care
- Developmental health
I am a board-certified physician, specializing in pediatrics. My professional interests include preventive care, asthma and developmental health.
Hometown: Albertville, MN
Best part of my work: Seeing patients and families develop over time. I like the continuity of care that pediatrics offers.
Why I became a pediatrician: To help make a healthy impact in children's lives and to set them up well for adulthood.
What I tell my friends and family: Think about situations and try to anticipate situations. For example, use safety gear for sports and then go have fun.
How I spend my free time: I love to read, travel with my family, go to movies and interesting restaurants, cooking and sports.
What patients say about me: I was recently called "the cool doctor" by a patient. This reinforces my attempts to be approachable and friendly.
Favorite health tip: The habits that begin early in life tend to stay with you as you age, so keep trying to make each day count.
Practice philosophy: I try to include the whole family in the care of the child. A team approach works best!
