Why I became a ­­­­­­pediatrician: To be an instrument in God's hand to bring healing and loving kindness to others.

What I tell my friends and family: Spend time and effort in keeping strong, loving family relationships in this area. It affects all other areas in life, including health. Cultivate a thankful heart.

How I spend my free time: Going for a walk with my husband or a good friend, reading with, talking with or watching a movie with my six active children (and sometimes playing soccer or biking with them!), praying and devotional reading.

I believe in the science behind immunizations; the story behind how vaccines eradicated small pox is amazing! Respect and loving sacrifice for others can unite us as a people --what could I do today to make the world a better place for others?

Practice philosophy: A child's health is affected by his/her family's health, so both need to be addressed together, including physical, spiritual, mental and emotional factors.
