Although I am not accepting new primary care patients, I am accepting obstetrics patients.
I am board-certified in family medicine with professional interests in obstetrics, pediatrics, office procedures, vasectomies, sports-related injuries and preventive medicine.
Hometown: Dodgeville, WI
Best part of my work: I really enjoy spending time with and interacting with my patients. It's not just about making a diagnosis, it's about making a connection.
Why I became a provider: It's the best job in the world (short of being a fishing guide). The combination of intellectual challenge and helping others was a huge draw.
How I spend my free time: When I am not working, I like to exercise, fish, coach soccer and drive my kids all over greater Minnesota.
What my patients say about me: "You may need to wait at times, but you will never feel rushed when he is in the room with you."
Favorite health tip: You can't control the scale, but you can control your behaviors. Don't focus on your weight, focus on your activity level and your diet. Also, everything in moderation.
Additional information: I am very involved in the community and truly enjoy being a physician in a smaller community. I also enjoy teaching and typically have a medical student working with me for nine months out of the year.
