Practice philosophy: As a physical therapist, I am committed to collaborating with my patients to help them return to the meaningful activities in their life. I believe that movement can be used as medicine and facilitate long-term wellness across the lifespan.
What are you passionate about and why? Working alongside individuals from all walks of life and empowering them to be the best version of themselves is one of my biggest passions. One of the best parts about my job is seeing people surprise themselves by surpassing what they thought they were capable of.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Teacher.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I grew up as the oldest child in my family and have always felt comfortable in a "care taker" role. I chose physical therapy because it felt like the perfect blend of care taking and teaching.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Compassion and empathy are equally important as the knowledge you have.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Every patient is like a puzzle with their own individual needs and concerns. Every day I get to be challenged to figure out how to best address those problems.
What is your personal health goal? Run a 1/2 marathon in 2026.
